EVENTS

ONE MOTORCYCLE SHOW

A true beast of an event, this three day festival celebrating motorcycles (from vintage to custom to racing dirt bikes) took place in the massive and complex Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum. Alongside event pros Stephanie Maul and Kathy Sobotka, I helped to bring in over 250 custom bikes, 200 racers, 100 vendors and activated more than 100,000 square feet of event space. We were blessed with an incredible team at See See Motor Coffee, and we are all a little cooler having helped produce this vibrant and badass event.

WORLD DOMINATION SUMMIT

One of the more creative jobs I’ve ever had, I was given incredible tasks like Mystery Bus Tours, Wacky Snacks (I hired 50 drag queens and 50 circus performers to serve locally crafted snacks to attendees), and Opening/Closing Parties. I lead creative for a Field Day party at Providence Park and a immersive botanical experience at PNCA (including the upside down garden you see above). WDS will always stay with me as one of the most colorful experiences I’ve had as a producer.

XOXO

An event near and dear to my heart, XOXO taught me how to attempt cultural humility when producing events. Incredible makers from across the internet join together for four days of talks, food, indie video- and tabletop-game expos, tons of meet ups, and (most importantly) community (and yes, that’s LIZZO). I have learned immense amounts about the practical implications of words like “inclusion,” “diversity,” and “accessibility.” Hugs and kisses, indeed!

DESIGN WEEK PORTLAND

Design Week Portland is a collection of over 350 design-oriented events that happen over the course of a single week each year. The disciplines are varied, the formats are mixed, and the experience is accessible for all types of design professionals and enthusiasts. Design Week was my first foray into event production as a volunteer in 2014. Tsilli Pines let me produce their Opening Party that year, and it was then I knew: I was meant to be an event producer. Since then, I’ve grown through the ranks and am now the Managing Director of the non-profit parent organization that hosts the festival (Design Portland). Design Week Portland has always felt like my home, and I’m proud to be a part of it, and help it grow.

OREGON BEER AWARDS

I have had the extreme pleasure of working with the inimitable Ben Edmunds, brewmaster at Breakside Brewery, to produce the Oregon Beer Awards. Running a competition of this scope is something that should not be taken lightly, and Ben is looked upon with the utmost respect and (deserved) adulation from his community. I help to produce the judging weekend, where over 900 beers are tasted in a double blind competition. We then produce an insanely fun awards ceremony where the winners are announced. Beer people are truly some of the best around, and this event is a blast to produce.

In addition to the events above, I’ve had the pleasure of working with the following clients.

Sneaker Week PDX • African American Footwear Forum • TechFestNW • DazzleCon • Teardown • Pour Oregon • Breakside Holiday Party • Kelly Rae Roberts 10-year Anniversary Party • Listen Up Podcast Festival • Find PDX • Outside In Anniversary Party • Instrument Creative Offsites
